Nearly a month since I've published in this blog. A major reason: competition from another blog I started! As if it wasn't already a block to TCoC for my life to remain as uneventful as it's been (not that there's anything wrong with that), I'll admit to saving much of my wit--such as it is--for the second blog; I'm even thinking about the possibility of a third, which conceivably could even be an attempt at an online novel.

Piping's going slowly, too. So far I haven't learned another tune yet. FWIW, our pipe major just played at the funeral of a local judge whom my family knew well. I went to school with one of his daughters from elementary to state university--not quite as big a deal as it might sound, since our first school was on the then-state-college campus. The old guard passes. Meanwhile we of the next generation seem to be aging fast enough. That beard I'm growing has proved *grayer* than I might have preferred!
